Lane Cove Childcare Centre Responds to Regulatory Updates

Cherry Bridge Station Lane Cove Childcare Centre Nominated Supervisor Jessica Cauchi has stated that: it is great to see that the NSW Department of Education & Communities are continually working towards improving and reviewing their current models, in order to better the outcomes for young children.

In New South Wales a new model named Preschool Disability Support Program (PDSP) is being implemented in place of the Supporting Children with Additional Needs (SCAN) program, and Intervention Support Program (ISP) for community preschools. PDSP supports the inclusion of children with disability and is targeted at funding to ensure that all children have access to early childhood education. Under the new model it creates a fairer system by lowering fees for disadvantaged children and providing more support for remote and rural communities.
